A classic example of Erle Bartlett’s high D, with a clear, bright, and strong tone that is well balanced from the first to the second octave. The aluminum body pairs with a Delrin fipple for a pure, responsive feel that holds up well in a session context. Syn whistles reward confident playing with a full-bodied sound, and this one is a solid choice for players who need a whistle that can cut through the noise of a busy session.
About the Maker
Erle Bartlett is a whistle maker based in Australia. He began with the Syn line and later developed a second range called the Black Diamonds. Syn whistles feature a polished aluminium body, brass tuning slide, and Delrin head. Bartlett’s instruments are currently unavailable for direct import into the United States, making existing examples harder to come by.
