One of the all-time great books. This is the scarce 2005 edition of the 1955 classic. At 17 years old himself, Johan van der Keuken captured the soul of his generation in what is now considered a seminal masterpiece of Dutch photography. “Wij Zijn 17” (We Are 17) is a raw, intimate exploration of adolescence that documented the emerging youth culture of post-war Amsterdam and Europe well before “the teenager” was a global marketing demographic and the subject of many a renowned photography book.
