Both Patrick and I LOVE Peloubet flutes. Not only are they great players but all the ones that I’ve played have been good A=440hz instruments unlike many of the flutes from England during the same period that were high pitched.
To me, they play very similar to a small to medium small holed Rudall type flute. Sweet players that can bark when needed from the player with a refined embouchure.
From Pat “This flute prefers a more artful and nuanced kind of playing rather than just blasting away”.
Patrick has gone through this flute from head to foot. Improvements include:
- Re-reamed Bore
- Retuned Finger Holes
- Re-voiced Headjoint
- Repaired Crack in Headjoint
- Newly Made Nitric Acid Stained Cocus Barrel with Mammoth Ivory Rings
