A pair of pendant ocarinas, one pitched in D and the other in E, each with four finger holes and strung on a cord. Four holes is the classic pendant arrangement. It is enough to carry a tune, quick to learn, and small enough to live around your neck instead of in a case.
Made by Robin L. Hodgkinson working as Clay-Wood-Winds in Haydenville, Massachusetts, making handmade flutes, ocarinas and sculptural vessel flutes. He thought enough of the small four-hole instruments to write a songbook for them, published under his own imprint. He is no longer making, so his work now turns up only secondhand.
